Permanent Jewelry for Your Atlanta Bridal Party
By Alexis ·

Bridesmaid gifts have a way of ending up in a drawer. A welded chain does not: a year after the wedding, the bride and her bridal party are usually still wearing theirs. After bachelorettes, bridal showers are the event we are booked for most in South Florida. Bond & Fifth now takes bridal events anywhere in metro Atlanta, our founder's hometown. Here is how to make it work for an Atlanta wedding, whoever you book.
Shower, bachelorette or wedding weekend?
| Moment | Why it works | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Bridal shower | Relaxed, daytime, and family can join in. | Bigger guest lists, so allow a longer window. |
| Bachelorette | The whole crew in one place with time to spare. | Weld early, before the evening plans start. |
| Wedding weekend | A welcome-party or rehearsal-day activity that everyone remembers. | Keep it well away from the wedding-morning schedule. |
| Bridesmaid proposal | A small group, a meaningful ask. | Sizing needs everyone there in person. |
Ideas the bride will love
- Matching chains for the bridal party, with the bride in a different style or metal so hers stands out.
- The bride and her mother, or her sisters, in the same chain.
- Anklets for a beach honeymoon, welded before the trip.
- A chain for the maid of honor as her thank-you gift.
- Mixed metals: 14k gold-filled and sterling silver side by side make an easy two-tone stack.
Timing it around the wedding
Each piece takes about 10 to 15 minutes, so a bridal party of eight needs around ninety minutes. That is easy at a shower or a bachelorette brunch and hard on a wedding morning, when hair, makeup and photos already fill every slot. If you want the chains in the wedding photos, do it at the shower, the bachelorette or the welcome party. It will already be on.
One practical note: if anyone in the party has an MRI or procedure coming up, they can still get a chain. It snips off at the weld in seconds and can be welded back on afterwards.
Who pays?
There is no rule. Three common setups: the bride gifts every bridesmaid her piece, the bridesmaids gift the bride hers, or each guest pays for her own chain and the host covers the bride. Whatever you choose, tell guests ahead of time.
For private events, Atlanta welders commonly ask for a deposit to hold the date and sometimes set a minimum number of guests who buy or a minimum spend, plus travel beyond their usual area. Ask about all three when you request a quote.
Bachelorette weekends in Atlanta
If your Atlanta bachelorette is based in a rented house or a hotel suite, a welding table fits right in: it needs one table, one outlet and decent light. Book it for the first afternoon, before dinner, so everyone is wearing their chain for the rest of the weekend's photos.
Common questions
Is permanent jewelry a good bridesmaid gift?
It is one of the few that gets worn every day. Each bridesmaid's chain is fitted to her, it is water-safe, and it never needs a clasp. Pair it with a note and it does the job of a keepsake without taking up a drawer.
Should we do it at the shower or the bachelorette?
Either works. Showers suit families and bigger groups; bachelorettes suit a smaller crew with time to spare. Avoid the wedding morning, when the schedule is already full.
How long does it take for a bridal party?
About 10 to 15 minutes per person, so roughly ninety minutes for eight.
Can the bride take it off for the wedding?
She can, with a quick snip at the weld, and have it welded back on later. Most brides keep it on; a fine chain sits comfortably alongside an engagement ring and wedding jewelry.
Can Bond & Fifth come to our Atlanta bridal shower?
Yes. We come to you anywhere in metro Atlanta, at home or at your venue. Send the date, headcount and location through the booking form and we will come back to you.
